Russia and China Achieve Record Growth in Mutual Trade, Says Putin

Despite the blackmail from certain Western countries, trade between Russia and China is expected to increase by about 25 percent by the end of the year, and the countries are likely to reach the milestone of 200 billion dollars ahead of schedule, stated Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Despite the unfavorable external situation, illegitimate restrictions, and direct blackmail from certain Western countries, Russia and China have managed to achieve record growth rates in mutual trade. By the end of the year, it will increase by about 25 percent. The target benchmark we set to reach by 2024 will be achieved ahead of schedule,” Putin said during a video conference with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
