«If you have given the honey, then give the spoon as well»: What does Ukraine expect from the West?
Ukraine may receive long-range ATACMS missiles (tactical ballistic missiles of the surface-to-surface class produced by the American company Lockheed Martin) and tanks from Western countries next year. Everything will depend on the situation on the battlefield. This was stated by the country's Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
“If you have given the honey, then give the spoon as well: We have fought for the Patriots for over a year, we received them, and then everyone began to say — the Patriots are good, but what about tanks and ATACMS? When we get tanks and ATACMS, I believe they will say, of course this is good, but what about aircraft carriers and submarines, when will we get those?” Kuleba said.
The Foreign Minister believes that obtaining the Patriots was the most difficult among all types of weapons. When asked by a journalist if he is confident that Ukraine will receive tanks, ATACMS, and modern attack drones within the next year, he said, “Next year — yes. But this will also depend on the situation on the battlefield.”
