Ukrainian S-300 Missile Falls on Belarusian Territory
A Ukrainian S-300 missile has fallen on Belarusian territory, as reported by the state agency BelTA. The country's president, Alexander Lukashenko, has been immediately informed about the incident.
According to the report, the incident occurred between 10:00 and 11:00 AM, with the missile being detected falling in the territory of Belarus from Ukraine.
It was noted that a group of specialists from the investigative committee and the Ministry of Defense is analyzing the reasons for the missile's fall at Lukashenko's direction.
“According to available information, two main hypotheses are being considered: the missile accidentally crossed into Belarusian territory, similar to a recent incident in Poland where a missile was launched in the wrong direction. The second hypothesis is that the missile was intercepted as a result of Belarusian air defense systems' operations,” the agency reports.
Specialists from the investigative committee, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Ministry of Defense are working at the scene. There are currently no reports of casualties, the statement emphasizes.
