Aleksandar Vučić's Call to Serbs in Kosovo

Aleksandar Vučić's Call to Serbs in Kosovo

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has called on compatriots living in Northern Kosovo and Metohija to dismantle the barricades they erected after Kosovo's authorities announced that security forces were placed on combat readiness. This was announced at a press conference by the head of the office for relations with Pristina, Petar Petković, as reported by Srbija Danas.

According to him, the Serbian leader has received guarantees from representatives of the USA and the EU that Serbs in Kosovo will not be arrested for participating in the protests.

"This is a great victory for the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija and for Vučić, who has supported his people even in the most difficult times," Petković stated.

Just a few hours earlier, Belgrade had reached an agreement for the release of former policeman Dejan Pantić and other Serbs who were arrested by Pristina for participating in the protests.
