The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has stated that there is no need to respond in any way to the calls from the Kyiv authorities to remove Russia from the UN Security Council.

“Do nothing. This is exactly the case when the dog barks, and the caravan moves on,” Zakharova said in response to a question about how Moscow should react to the corresponding statement from the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

It is noteworthy that on December 20, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced that Kyiv is preparing official steps to remove Russia from membership in the UN Security Council. He also mentioned that initiating such a process would not be easy.
