Peskov Refuses to Reveal Secrets of Putin's New Year Address Preparation
The Kremlin never reveals how and when the President's New Year address is recorded, but traditionally, President Vladimir Putin will address the Russians at midnight and congratulate them on the upcoming New Year, stated Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov to reporters.
"We never disclose how and when the President's New Year greetings are recorded; all I can say is that the President traditionally will address the Russians at midnight and congratulate them on the upcoming New Year. Each of the President's New Year addresses is unique," Peskov said in response to a question about whether this year’s New Year greetings will differ from previous ones.
He added that no changes are planned regarding the special military operation under which the President's New Year address will be recorded. "We are grateful for the offer of assistance, but, thank God, we are managing so far," Peskov stated when asked whether any help was needed in preparing the address.
