Combat Pistol Discovered in Luggage of Russian Citizen

On December 27, police employees from the "Zvartnots" airport and the aviation security control department discovered a citizen with a combat pistol at the "Zvartnots" airport.

According to Shamshyan, operational information had been received by the criminal investigation group of the police's "Zvartnots" airport line division that there was a weapon in the luggage of one of the passengers on the Yerevan-Makhachkala flight. It was revealed on the spot that the individual, whose luggage contained a pistol marked "CTT," is a 21-year-old Russian citizen named Mohamed M.

The individual was taken from the special inspection area of "Zvartnots" airport to the police line division of Zvartnots, and then presented to the investigative division of the Investigative Committee of Armenia in Yerevan, where proceedings have been initiated regarding the incident.
