30% Salary Increase Planned for Polyclinics, Says Deputy Minister

We plan to increase working hours in polyclinics, as well as implement new screening programs, and expect a 30% salary increase. This was stated today, December 28, during a press conference by the Deputy Minister of Health, Artak Jumayan.

According to him, this does not imply a passive salary increase, but it will occur in direct response to specific work performed.

“Among the screening programs, we continue with screenings for diabetes, cervical cancer, and arterial hypertension. A pilot program for early detection of colorectal cancer has also been launched, along with the ongoing breast cancer program,” he noted.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the infertility program has shown quite good results this year: “From 2019 until November this year, we have had 230 births, of which 105 were this year. Among these, 28 are children of deceased servicemen. We also have 163 pregnancies, and our program is set to expand.”

Jumayan also mentioned that this year the electronic disability certificate system was implemented: “We are still providing the paper version in parallel, but in the near future that will no longer be the case. Soon we will have a linking mechanism, meaning we will not need to go to the polyclinic to terminate or establish new contracts; instead, we can do it online through an app. Once we submit the application, it will be linked to a specific polyclinic, and the termination request will be sent to the previous polyclinic.”
