Truck Buildups, Kilometric Queues: Situation on the Armenian-Georgian Customs Checkpoint Road
Traffic has been congested for nearly a week along the approximately 36 km road from Marneuli, in Georgia's Kvemo Kartli region, to the Armenian-Georgian Sadakhlo-Bagratasen border checkpoint.
There are buildups of trucks along the road, with kilometer-long queues causing problems for movement and traffic.
The Georgian Ministry of Finance informed Alik Media that all procedures are being carried out appropriately at the Sadakhlo-Bagratasen customs checkpoint, both on the Georgian and Armenian sides. They assured that the truck buildups are likely related to pre-holiday rush, and there are no issues concerning capacity.
