It is Known How Much Money is Needed for the Restoration of the Blown Up Nord Stream Blocks

The cost of restoring the blown-up blocks of the Nord Stream gas pipeline will amount to at least $500 million, reports the New York Times, citing its sources.

It is known that the Nord Stream operator, Nord Stream AG, began to assess the repair costs at the end of December. Understanding how many pipes may be subjected to saline water and whether the gas pipeline can be restarted are some of the issues being dealt with by Russian experts.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that the restoration of the pipelines is possible. Novak noted that it is currently impossible to provide at least some precise forecasts regarding the timelines for restoring the gas pipeline. It is worth recalling that explosions occurred in the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 at the end of September, as a result of which only one line of Nord Stream 2 remained intact, but according to President Putin, its operation is unlikely to be possible.

Subsequently, Swedish researchers discovered traces of explosives at the site of the gas pipeline's leak and explosion, but the organizer of the explosions is still unknown.
