Putin Reveals What Russia's Goal Is

Geopolitical adversaries seek to divide Russia through the Ukrainian crisis, while Moscow's goal is to unite the Russian people, said Vladimir Putin in an interview with Pavel Zarubin on the program "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin."

"‘Divide and conquer,’ they have always tried to do this, and they are still trying, but our goal is different—to unite the Russian people,” said the President of Russia.

In response to a question regarding whether a certain "dangerous pitfall" is approaching in the situation, Putin noted his confidence in the correctness of the path chosen. "Well, I don't think it's that dangerous. I believe we are acting in the right direction; we are defending our national interests, the interests of our citizens, and our people, and we simply have no other option but to do this—to protect our citizens. However, we are ready to negotiate with all participants in this process regarding acceptable outcomes, but that is their business. It's not that we are refusing to negotiate; they are," the state leader stated.

According to him, Russia has always sought to resolve all disputes peacefully through negotiations.
