VIDEO: Woman at Home When Burglars Attempt to Enter Apartment
On December 18, around 5:50 PM, an alert was received by the '911' service. A woman reported that burglars were attempting to enter their apartment. The information was immediately relayed to the operational management center of the police, and since the caller was a resident of Hakob Hakobian Street, the report was forwarded to the Arabkir police department.
An operational group was dispatched to the specified address. In order to ensure control of the area and a quick response, patrol officers of the capital were also notified.
Thanks to the measures taken by investigators of the Arabkir criminal investigation department, two men were arrested and taken to the department on suspicion of attempting residential burglary right in the building's entrance. It turned out that one was a 42-year-old resident of Ulnecu Street in Yerevan, and the other was a 45-year-old resident of Vayk.
During a search, various types of keys, makeshift tools, and metal objects were found in their possession, which they claimed were tools for opening locks.
Both were moved to the investigative department, where a criminal case was initiated. As a result of operational-search measures and investigative actions, it became clear that they were responsible for a residential burglary that happened six months ago in one of the buildings on Kievyan Street. That report of theft was received by the Arabkir police department on June 17.
The initiated criminal proceedings are ongoing.
