Video: Remittances Will Not Be Taxed, Tunyan Clarifies

Remittances will not be taxed. Thank you for your question, which once again gave me the opportunity to dispel the misconception that attempted to take root among our citizens since 2018. This was stated by Babken Tunyan, the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs of the National Assembly of Armenia, addressing opposition MP Arthur Khachatryan.

“If a person lives in Armenia and their relative, son, or brother works abroad and sends them money, that is not subject to taxation, as it is a gift,” Tunyan said.
