VIDEO: Nova Seeks a Companion: Cameras Capture Persian Leopard

This beautiful Persian leopard named Nova has once again visited the Caucasian Biodiversity Reserve (CBR), and our camera traps captured her in their sights. Fund specialists suggest that Nova is female and is most likely following Neo in search of a mate. This is supported by the fact that both Neo and Nova passed through the same migratory path just days apart.

The preservation of CBR's unique ecosystem, habitats, and biodiversity is managed by FPWC. Continuous monitoring is conducted thanks to partnerships with the World Land Trust (WLT), WWF-Belgium, the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), and Viva-MTS.

According to the IUCN Species Survival Commission and cat specialists, leopards are among the species threatened with extinction.
