Turkey's Defense Minister Again Addresses Armenia
Turkey's Defense Minister Hulusi Akar participated in a meeting of the defense ministers of Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, after which he spoke about Armenia at a press conference.
As reported by Ermenihaber, Akar referenced Turkish-Azerbaijani claims, stating, "We expect Armenia to grasp the hand of peace and friendship that has been extended to it. Armenia's handshake with the hand of peace from Azerbaijan and Turkey is important for both its own peace and the peace of the region. I want to emphasize once again that this opportunity must be properly evaluated. If Armenia avoids violations of the ceasefire and acts in accordance with the statement regarding the ceasefire, then it can be part of peace and stability."
He reiterated that establishing and maintaining "peace and tranquility in the region" will contribute not only to the countries involved but also to the economic well-being and security of the entire region.
