Current Condition of Children in the Intensive Care Unit

The only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia is blocked by Azerbaijan, leading to the continuous suspension of planned surgeries in healthcare facilities operating under the jurisdiction of the Health Ministry of Artsakh.

According to the Health Ministry of Artsakh, 13 children are in the intensive care and neonatal departments of the "Arevik" Medical Center. The health condition of a 4-month-old infant diagnosed with visceral leishmaniasis remains serious. Doctors in Artsakh are providing necessary medical assistance, consulting with specialists from Armenia via online communication.

At the Republican Medical Center, 9 patients are currently in the intensive care unit, with 2 of them in extremely serious condition. Physicians are doing everything possible to stabilize the patients' conditions.

The Health Ministry of Artsakh is taking all possible measures to properly overcome the situation created due to the blockade.
