Finance Minister to Be Appointed Deputy Prime Minister; Security Council Meeting Underway Led by Prime Minister Pashinyan
The regular session of the Security Council is taking place under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. In addition to members of the Security Council, the meeting is also attended by President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan, President of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan, Head of the Prime Minister's Office Arayik Harutyunyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan, Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan, Minister of High-Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan, Head of the "Civil Contract" faction of the National Assembly Hayk Konjoryan, and Deputy Minister of Defense Karen Brutyan.
At the start of the meeting, Prime Minister Pashinyan stated: "Esteemed Mr. President, Dear colleagues, in the regular session of the Security Council, we will discuss a wide range of issues, including the military-political situation established in the region. Before we move on to the agenda, I would also like to inform you that we discussed this issue with the President of the Republic today, and Tigran Khachatryan, who has until now held the position of Finance Minister, will be appointed as Deputy Prime Minister. Vahe Hovhannisyan, who serves as Deputy Minister of Finance, will take over as Finance Minister."
