French forward Karim Benzema may be leaving the national team, reports AS. A conflict has arisen between the player and head coach Didier Deschamps during the World Cup. The coach is disappointed that Benzema has not been in contact during his treatment.

Benzema has rejected President Emmanuel Macron's invitation to watch the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar together. The 54-year-old Deschamps' current contract expires on December 31, 2022. He has been leading the national team since July 2012.
