Messi Named Best Player of World Cup Final

Argentinian forward Lionel Messi has been recognized as the best player of the final match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The Argentinian national team triumphed over France in a decisive penalty shootout at the tournament held in Qatar.

The final match, held at the Lusail Iconic Stadium, ended with a score of 2-2 after regular time, and both teams exchanged a goal during extra time.

Messi scored two of Argentina's three goals. In the post-match penalty shootout, Argentina proved to be more accurate, winning 4-2. The 35-year-old Argentinian clinched the World Champion title for the first time in his career.
