We Must Learn to Live Without Panic in This Situation, Says Ruben Vardanyan
The Minister of State of the Republic of Artsakh and head of the operational staff, Ruben Vardanyan, convened an extended consultation today with the participation of members of the operational staff. The minister stated that despite the restoration of gas supply, Azerbaijan continues to keep the only road connecting Armenia to Artsakh closed.
“This means that we continue to be under blockade and we must learn to live without panic in this situation. For this reason, I continue to emphasize that we must be as organized and disciplined as possible. This moment should be used for public solidarity and supporting one another. It is also a good opportunity to feel what possibilities we have to correct shortcomings through the implementation of systemic approaches,” Vardanyan highlighted.
The minister noted that it is essential to operate in a highly organized manner and respond urgently to the priority needs of the population. The current situation in the markets for food products and medicines was discussed. The minister instructed the competent authorities to continue monitoring the market and address instances of unjustified price increases.
Additionally, the current state of cash circulation in the republic, especially regarding the volume of cash, was presented. In this context, the necessity of activating cashless transactions was emphasized. The minister tasked the responsible parties to thoroughly study the issue and propose solutions.
The discussion also touched on the issue of the absence of employees who are unable to return due to the blockade. It was noted that appropriate regulations should be established to consider the absences justified in light of the situation.
During the consultation, the current status of electricity supply and actions aimed at the normal operation of the system were also presented. Other participants in the meeting reported on the current situation in their areas of responsibility.
