Fans protested against the postponement of the major Australian league final scheduled to be held in Sydney for the next three years, resulting in a mass brawl. One fan threw a metal bucket at the goalkeeper.
Players and coaches were forced to leave the field, and later, City announced that medical assistance was provided to the goalkeeper, who is likely suffering from a concussion.
The match officially concluded 40 minutes after the suspension. The Football Federation of Australia has announced that an investigation will be launched, leading to appropriate sanctions.
