Explosion Occurs at Russian Office in Central African Republic: Note Found
An explosion has occurred at the office of Dmitry Sity, head of the Russian House in the Central African Republic. This is reported by RIA Novosti, which has published photos obtained from representatives of the police in Bangui. It is noted that there was also a printed note on the package.
“This is for you from all the French, the Russians will leave Africa,” was written in Russian on the paper.
The photos published from the explosion site show a desk with a monitor and a computer keyboard, broken glass, debris, and two black plastic objects, one of which appears to be a lighter. Next to it is a DHL package. Under the table is a portable wireless audio speaker with burnt or charred edges.
“It is obvious that Dmitry Sity started to analyze the letters placed on the table, opened the package, began to take out its contents, and the explosion occurred,” said a police representative.
