Armenian Drivers Unable to Enter Armenia for 3 Days

Armenian drivers of trucks stuck in a traffic jam at the Lars border checkpoint have reportedly been unable to cross the Sadakhlo-Bagratashen border for several days. According to the publication 'Zhoghovurd', drivers have reached out to the editorial office to report that they have been at the Georgian side, near the village of Shulaver, for three days.

One of the truck drivers stated in an interview, “We are being told that the queue on the Armenian side of customs is so long that vehicle throughput is very slow. We have been stuck in queues and jams for 2-3 months. We have spent days hungry, thirsty, and without basic living conditions, and now it seems we have come here and remained stuck.”

The stranded Armenian drivers believe that this is the result of slow and poor operations at the border checkpoint.
