In Stepanakert and Surrounding Areas, Enhanced Service is Being Carried Out

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh has issued a statement that reads:    "As of 11:00 AM, the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia remains closed by Azerbaijan. Given the situation created by Azerbaijan's blockade of the Republic of Artsakh, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is conducting operations in the capital and regions under an enhanced regime to adequately ensure public order and internal security."    It is worth mentioning that on the morning of December 12, a group of Azerbaijanis dressed in civilian clothes blocked the Stepanakert-Goris highway, citing environmental reasons, at the Shushi-Karin Tak junction. The same incident occurred on December 3. After more than three hours of negotiations with the Russian peacekeepers, the road was reopened for both sides. On December 13, the Azerbaijani side also cut off gas supply to Artsakh. People were deprived of heating, hot water, and medical facilities struggled to provide primary medical assistance, while classes were suspended in educational institutions in Artsakh that rely on gas for heating.
