Only Azerbaijani Unilateral Coverage Takes Place in Artsakh: Tatoyan Raises Alarm

Armenian media outlets have no opportunity to cover the section of the road from Artsakh to Armenia that Azerbaijan has closed, and only Azerbaijani unilateral coverage is taking place. This was stated by Arman Tatoyan, the head of the Tatoyan Foundation for the Center of Law and Justice, on his Facebook page.

“The Tatoyan Foundation’s studies show that Azerbaijani media carry out full-scale filming from the scene, including through live broadcasts. Armenian media have no opportunity for coverage; they are not even allowed to approach the scene. Azerbaijani media disseminate overtly provocative videos, incite hostility, and spread false information. We call on the international community's attention to this fact and confidently assert that this is part of a premeditated action by the Azerbaijani authorities aimed at filling the information space only with the one-sided information they need.

It is no secret that Azerbaijani media are directed by the Azerbaijani authorities and serve as their indirect mouthpiece. Moreover, local media are funded by the Azerbaijani government. It is clear that Azerbaijan's closure of the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia and the cessation of gas supply is a continuation of its criminal policy to ethnically cleanse Artsakh and isolate 120,000 people,” he wrote.
