I Evaluate the Actions of Russian Peacekeepers as Unsatisfactory: Member of Parliament

The Secretary of the "Armenia" faction in the National Assembly, Artsvik Minasyan of the Dashnaktsutyun Party, has assessed the actions of Russian peacekeepers in the Lachin Corridor as unsatisfactory.

"I evaluate the actions of Russian peacekeepers as unsatisfactory, and much tougher measures need to be taken. They claim they do not have this mandate, but there is indeed a mandate that arises from the imperative to ensure human rights. This mandate is held by Russia as well, as it is a permanent member of the UN Security Council, as a co-chairing country of the Minsk Group, and finally, as one of the key guarantor parties of the November 9, 2020 declaration. This mandate should be strengthened significantly, but for its strengthening, Armenia's official stance must also assist," he stated during a briefing with reporters.

According to Minasyan, international law requires the consolidation of UN member states: "Armenia's foreign policy is not active in this direction. It is not just about calls; it requires daily work."
