France Calls for Restoration of Supplies Through the Lachin Corridor Unconditionally
France is calling for the restoration of traffic through the Lachin Corridor without preconditions. This was stated in a message from the French Foreign Ministry, as reported by TASS.
“France urges the restoration of supplies to Nagorno-Karabakh through the Lachin Corridor without any preconditions, respecting the rights of the local population,” the communiqué states.
Paris also reminded of the necessity to adhere to the provisions of the trilateral ceasefire statement accepted on November 9, 2020.
“Azerbaijan is obliged to ensure the safe movement of people, transport, and goods in both directions through the Lachin Corridor,” the French Ministry's statement emphasized.
It is worth noting that a group of Azerbaijanis, dressed in civilian clothes and claiming to be environmentalists, has blocked the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia since the morning of December 12. Yesterday, Azerbaijan cut off the gas supply to the entire territory of Artsakh.
