Patients in Stepanakert Hospital Face Life-Threatening Conditions, Urgent Transfer to Yerevan Needed
A number of patients at the Stepanakert Republican Medical Center are in extremely critical and severe conditions. Their treatment and examinations need to continue in Yerevan. Due to the blockade, their transfer to hospitals in Armenia has become impossible, putting their lives at risk, stated the director of the Stepanakert Republican Medical Center, Mher Musayeleyan.
1. Andranik Sheikhyan, born in 1972, from the village of Ivanyan in the Askeran region, is in extremely critical condition, connected to a mechanical ventilator since December 11. He suffers from acute respiratory failure, exacerbation of bronchial asthma, and multifocal pneumonia. Immediate transfer to Yerevan is necessary. Andranik is a participant of both Artsakh wars.
2. Norayr Mayilyan, born in 1980, was transferred to the Stepanakert Republican Hospital from the village of Khnapat in the Askeran region. His condition is severe. He has undergone cardiopulmonary resuscitation and is experiencing general organism intoxication, receiving programmed hemodialysis. Immediate transfer to Yerevan for continued treatment is necessary.
3. Socrat Avsharyan, born in 1960, from Stepanakert. His condition is stably severe. He underwent coronary angiography on December 12, and immediate transfer to Yerevan is indicated for open-heart surgery for aorto-coronary bypass. He has ischemic heart disease, stable exertional angina, second-degree arterial hypertension, and diabetes mellitus. Socrat Avsharyan is a participant of both Artsakh wars and a father of three sons.
4. Marina Davtyan, born in 1966, from Stepanakert. She was admitted to the hospital a week ago with acute cerebrovascular circulation disorder and diagnosed with a sphenoiditis, with a high probability of cavernomas (hematoma formations in the brain). Her condition is gradually worsening. Immediate examination in Yerevan for appropriate treatment is indicated.
5. Kristina Abrahamyan, born in 1983, from Stepanakert. She has been suffering from unknown etiology hyperthermia (high body temperature) for almost two weeks. Immediate examination in Yerevan is necessary.
