Ronaldo Will Not Travel to Lisbon with the National Team

The forward of the Portuguese national team, Cristiano Ronaldo, along with nine other players from the national team, will not travel to Lisbon following their elimination from the World Cup and will remain in Qatar. This was reported by the Portuguese Football Federation.

In addition to Ronaldo, Rui Patricio, Raphael Guerreiro, Rafael Leao, Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Nunes, Ruben Neves, Bernardo Silva, Joao Cancelo, and Diogo Dalot have also received permission to stay in Qatar with their families.

Nuno Mendes and Danilo Pereira have already left the team camp due to injuries and are undergoing treatment in France. The remaining players of the Portuguese national team will depart for Lisbon today, December 11.

The Portuguese team was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup after a narrow defeat to Morocco.
