U.S. Does Not Ban Ukraine from Using Its Weapons Against Crimea, Kuleba

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated in an interview with The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) that the U.S. does not prohibit the use of American weapons against Crimea. The minister emphasized that Ukraine will not agree to a peace deal if Crimea and Donbas remain under Russian control.

Mr. Kuleba remarked that Crimea is “internationally recognized as Ukrainian territory.” “Ukraine will reclaim all of its territories, including Crimea, some through military means, others diplomatically,” the foreign minister is confident.

Dmytro Kuleba urged the international community not to fear that “Russia will be dismantled.” “Instead of thinking about how to help Russia survive and become a normal member of the global community, it is time to acknowledge the fact that this Russia cannot be a normal member of the global community,” he said.

In July, U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan stated that the White House does not intend to supply ATACMS missiles to Ukraine, which have a range of approximately 300 kilometers. WSJ sources reported that this is due to disagreements among U.S. officials regarding potential strikes on Crimea. The U.S. has also modified the series of HIMARS rocket systems before sending them to Ukraine.
