Video: Climate Activists Glue Themselves to Airport Runway in Germany

Climate activists briefly disrupted traffic at Munich Airport in southern Germany on Thursday, protesting the environmental impact of air travel. The group 'Last Generation' reported that some of its members glued themselves to the runway pavement at Munich Airport, while others entered the premises of Berlin Airport.

Munich Airport spokesperson Henner Eithing confirmed that the northern runway was temporarily closed, forcing planes to use the southern runway, which resulted in short delays.

Berlin Airport spokesperson Sabina Dekwert confirmed that police operations were ongoing but stated that air traffic there was not disrupted.

Recently, a similar protest at Berlin Airport received widespread condemnation from public officials, leading to calls for stricter police measures to stop activists from interfering with air traffic.
