The Criminal Proceedings Related to the Controversial Conversation Between Ruben Vardazaryan and Gagik Jhangiryan Have Been Terminated
The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has terminated the criminal proceedings related to the controversial conversation between former presidents of the Supreme Judicial Council Ruben Vardazaryan and Gagik Jhangiryan.
This was announced in a conversation with Armenpress by the press secretary of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Gor Abrahamyan. He stated, “The body conducting the proceedings has made a decision not to prosecute three individuals within the framework of the mentioned criminal case and not to file charges. Since no evidence of any crime has been confirmed according to the investigation conducted, the proceedings have been terminated on that basis.”
According to the procedure, if the prosecutor accepts the motion against launching criminal prosecution, the party may also appeal the mentioned act to a higher prosecutor within the prescribed 15-day period after receiving the act, after which an appeal may also be made through the judicial process.
