“We Conquered Shushi Through War, and We Will Capture Yerevan Through Peace”: Azerbaijani MP's “Peaceful” Statement

Azerbaijani Parliament's Human Rights Committee Chairman Zahid Oruj has made yet another scandalous statement. During a speech in the Milli Majlis, the MP specifically said: “Peoples cannot live forever in conditions of enmity and war. We conquered Shushi through war, and we will capture Yerevan through peace.”

This statement again demonstrates that Azerbaijan does not desire peace with Armenia but rather uses the peace process and rhetoric to achieve its expansionist goals.
