VIDEO: Exercises of Baku and Ankara Target Iran and Armenia, Says Ohanyan
Turkey and Azerbaijan are conducting exercises near the Iranian border, which include river-crossing drills, indicating that their target is the neighboring country. These exercises are also aimed at demonstrating their strength to both Armenia and Iran. This was stated by Seyran Ohanyan, the former Minister of Defense of Armenia and the head of the 'Armenia' faction in the National Assembly, during a conversation with reporters.
He noted, 'We must consider the tense relations between the West and Iran, with Turkey representing the West in the South Caucasus.' According to Ohanyan, 'Turkey and Azerbaijan will not rest until they attempt to seize the so-called 'corridor' that passes through Syunik.'
'Our Armed Forces must draw serious conclusions from these exercises. Until Azerbaijan gets what it wants, it will not rest,' added the former head of the Armenian defense ministry.
