"The article is purposefully prepared": Brusov University responds to allegations against rector

Recently, an article was published regarding alleged abuses committed by the rector of Brusov University, Karine Harutyunyan, as reported by the media.

The State Linguistic University after V. Brusov has issued a statement: "The article published in "Haykakan Zhamanak" on December 7 titled 'The Brusov rector has committed several abuses, causing significant damage to the educational institution' presents distorted facts. The article is purposefully prepared and specifically published ahead of the rector's election, which is scheduled for Friday, December 9.

We inform you that the State Supervisory Service of the Republic of Armenia has conducted checks at V. Brusov University, and the university has not yet officially received a report on the results of the inspection. After receiving the report from the State Supervisory Service regarding the inspection results, we will provide the university's opinion within five days as per procedure and will respond in detail to each point.

Prior to the rector's election, intentionally directed and misleading information has been provided. We believe that during this period, the rector has not committed financial abuses, and this is a deliberate step aimed at creating a negative image around the current rector, Karine Harutyunyan, ahead of the elections."
