Saakashvili's Doctor Reports Former President May Only Live a Few Months

According to a consultation by an expert group, former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili suffers from stage four cachexia, which poses a serious threat to his life. The council found that Saakashvili has lost 42 kg since his incarceration, weighing now 73.6 kg. His condition has progressed from anorexia to cachexia. Dr. Tengiz Tsuladze stated that if Saakashvili's health continues to deteriorate at the current pace, the former president may only have a few months to live.

It is noteworthy that Saakashvili's lawyer recently petitioned the court for his release.

Earlier, it was reported that the former president's legal team indicated that a toxicological examination of Saakashvili's hair sample found elevated levels of mercury and other heavy metals, including barium and thallium.
