Attempt to Storm and Seize Bundestag Prevented in Germany

Germany's police have thwarted an attempted coup d'état, according to Bild. The publication reports that a group of conspirators had intended to storm and seize the Bundestag.

It is noted that as part of the operation, searches are being conducted in 130 homes and offices belonging to radicals. A total of 25 individuals have already been arrested on suspicion of preparing a coup, Bild adds.

According to Zeit newspaper, among those arrested on suspicion of preparing a coup d'état in Germany is a citizen of Russia, as confirmed by the Attorney General's office.
