TV 5 Sues Khachatur Sukiasyan: 'Hraparak'

'Hraparak' newspaper reports that 'Shark' LLC, which is the same as TV 5, has filed a lawsuit demanding that the court obligate National Assembly member Khachatur Sukiasyan to publicly refute what is deemed defamatory information.

The television company is also seeking compensation for non-material damages amounting to 200,000 drams. The lawsuit was submitted on November 25 and assigned to Judge Murad Hovakimyan.

It should be recalled that Khachatur Sukiasyan lost his temper during a question from '5th Channel' reporter Arpi Sukiasyan in the National Assembly, stating, 'Your owner is a thief and a bandit, and has done nothing for this country, has billions of dollars.' Sukiasyan also stated that he does not own any illegal property, while claiming that the owner of '5th Channel' does have illegal property.

It is worth noting that the owner of '5th Channel' is Armen Tavadyan, an associate of Robert Kocharyan, who served as the official representative of Artsakh in Russia during the 1990s.
