Snow in Lori Province and Ashotzk Region, Fog in Syunik: Road Conditions

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads across the Republic of Armenia. The roads from the high-altitude meteorological station 'Amberd' in Aragatsotn Province to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake are closed. The Vanadzor-Dilijan and Vanadzor-Alaverdi roads, as well as the Stepanavan and Spitak mountain passes, are closed for trucks with trailers, making them difficult to navigate for other vehicles. In the provinces of Tavush, Syunik, and Gegharkunik, there are instances of black ice on the roads.

In Lori Province and the Ashotzk region, snow has fallen, while fog has settled in Syunik Province. According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Situations Department and the North Ossetia Crisis Management Center of the Russian Federation, the Stepanstminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
