Secret Decision from the State Budget Leads to Acquisition of 5 New SUVs

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "From our sources in the government, we learned that five new SUVs have been acquired from the state budget for Nikol Pashinyan. The information has not been made public as it was obtained through a secret decision by the NSS and provided to the Special Patrol Service to serve Pashinyan and his family. Four of them are Toyota Land Cruiser 300 models, each worth about $100,000. The fifth is a diesel-powered Lexus LX500 luxury SUV, valued at between $130,000 and $150,000. Thus, more than $500,000 has been paid from the state budget. The Toyotas will serve as escort vehicles for Pashinyan, replacing the security personnel's current Toyota Land Cruiser 200s. The Lexus LX, according to our information, will serve Pashinyan's wife, Anna Hakobyan, with operational license plates. It is worth mentioning that Pashinyan's wife is currently being served by a relatively new and luxurious SUV, a Lexus GX460, but they have presumably decided to upgrade once more, ordering a higher-class and latest-generation Lexus LX at the budget's expense.

We tried to confirm our information with the NSS, although we did not expect a clear response since this concerns a large purchase made through a secret decision. The NSS press office neither confirmed nor denied our information. The newly acquired SUVs are currently undergoing certain technical enhancements and will be put into operation shortly. It should be noted that about a year ago, two more new cars were purchased for Pashinyan: one was an armored Lexus LX570 SUV (priced at about $250,000), which he personally uses, mainly when traveling to the regions, and the other was a Toyota Hiace, which is also an escort vehicle intended for bodyguards."
