Peskov Says Putin Often Drives Himself
Russian President Vladimir Putin often drives himself in Sochi or Novo-Ogaryovo, and he prefers a small electric car, said presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov to reporters, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“Listen, the president has driven cars all his life; sometimes he gets behind the wheel himself, so this is not a secret. He often drives an electric car when he is not in the Kremlin, either in Ogaryovo or Sochi,” Peskov stated.
It should be noted that on Monday, videos were circulated online of the president's visit to the Crimean Bridge, where renovation works are underway. The head of state got behind the wheel and crossed the bridge himself. Accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, he drove through the restored area. Putin opted for a Mercedes for the journey. According to his speed, he was not in a hurry, driving at a speed of 60-80 kilometers per hour, with the radio tuned to Europe Plus.
