Opposition MP Announces New Street Protests
Arthur Khachatryan, a member of the "Armenia" faction, believes that the duty to save Artsakh and Armenia lies with all citizens of the Republic of Armenia.
"I assure you that if citizens used all their levers, if they believed our call that we are heading to an even worse situation and joined together, the situation would be better. But the situation is not hopeless; everything can still be saved. For this reason, I call on concerned citizens to support the opposition forces, to believe, and to go out into the streets," he said during a conversation with reporters at the National Assembly.
Khachatryan mentioned that they are working both in Parliament and outside of it. "There is reluctance among citizens; that is probably the reason why those who sit at home and complain about the authorities are less active in showing their support for us," the opposition MP noted. He stated that new street protests will take place, although he did not specify when.
