The Pace of Military Operations in Ukraine Will Decrease in the Coming Months, Says U.S. Official
The pace of military operations in Ukraine will decrease in the coming months, according to Avril Haines, the U.S. Director of National Intelligence. He stated that during this period, Ukrainian and Russian military forces will seek to rearm and reinforce themselves in preparation for a counteroffensive in the spring.
“We have a fair amount of skepticism regarding whether the Russians will actually be ready to do this. I think the Ukrainians are more optimistic during this period,” Haines noted.
He also mentioned that there has not yet been any military assistance from China to Russia, although Beijing supports Moscow on international platforms. Russia currently lacks the capacity to produce the precision missiles that are now in use.
