Snow and Fog in Armenia: Some Roads Blocked

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are blocked roads across the Republic of Armenia.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads leading from the "Amberd" high mountainous meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and the Qari Lake are closed. There are instances of black ice on the roads in the Vayots Dzor region in Jermuk city, as well as along the Berkharat-Alagyaz road and in the Saravan-"Zanger" section in the Aragatsotn region, and in the Dilijan meanders of the Tavush region.

Fog has been reported in several areas, including the Vardenyats pass, the Saravan-"Zanger" section, Tigranashen, the Dilijan meanders in Tavush region, Novberyan city, and in the elevated areas of Syunik region.

Snowfall has been observed in the Aragats region of Aragatsotn and in Kajaran city of Syunik.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Centre of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepanavank-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
