Explosion in Residential Building of a Turkish City

An explosion occurred in a six-story residential building in the city of Şanlıurfa, Turkey, resulting in at least four injuries. Rescue teams are on the scene.

The cause of the explosion is currently unknown. It has been reported that shops and food establishments on the ground floor of the building were completely destroyed.

The city is located just 40 km from the border with Syria, where Turkey recently conducted military operations to eliminate positions held by Kurdish groups.
