Armenia to Purchase Indian 'Konkurs-M' Anti-Tank Guided Missiles
Armenia will acquire Indian-made 'Konkurs-M' anti-tank guided missiles, according to idrw.org. The report indicates that these missiles, produced by Bharat Dynamics Limited in Hyderabad, are part of a program to enhance the weaponry of the Armenian armed forces.
The mobile anti-tank missile 'Konkurs-M' system is designed to engage modern armored vehicles equipped with dynamic protection, fortified firing positions, and moving or stationary small-sized surface and floating targets, as well as low-flying helicopters and other targets, at any time of the day and even under adverse weather conditions.
It is worth mentioning that in September, the Indian publication The Economic Times reported that India has signed contracts with Armenia for the supply of a significant amount of missiles, multiple launch rocket systems, and other munitions. The publication noted that while the value of the contracts has not been disclosed, sources suggest that it involves a large shipment of weapons and munitions worth around 20 billion rupees (approximately 250 million dollars).
