Syrian Kurdish Forces Appeal to Russia for Protection of Their Territories
The Syrian Democratic Forces, a Kurdish coalition, have requested assistance from Russia to negotiate with the official authorities in Damascus to protect the territories controlled by the coalition in northeastern Syria. This was reported to Al-Hadas television by coalition representative Aram Khan. His remarks were quoted by TASS.
“We have asked Russian representatives to coordinate actions with the official authorities in Damascus to protect our territory,” he said.
Aram Khan added that the United States has confirmed its rejection of Ankara's military operation in northeastern Syria, but has not taken serious steps to resolve the conflict.
Earlier, it became known that Turkey demanded the withdrawal of Syrian Democratic Forces from three cities in the Aleppo province of Syria. This concerns the withdrawal of forces from Manbij, Ayn al-Arab, and Tal Rifat.
