Samsung to Teach Customers How to Repair Smartphones Independently
Samsung is set to release an app that will help owners of the South Korean company's devices repair their electronics on their own. This was reported by The Verge.
According to journalists, this information was derived from an application submitted by the company to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
The app is indicated to be called Self Repair Assistant.
The company describes it as a "mobile application" for self-repairing and servicing smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, and earbuds.
The Verge speculates that the app will include repair instructions for devices in the Samsung Galaxy series.
It is noted that the development of the Self Repair Assistant is likely a result of Samsung's collaboration with iFixit, which was announced in early 2022.
