The French Development Agency will provide a loan of 100 million euros to Armenia. This was stated by Armenia's Minister of Finance Tigran Khachatryan while presenting the draft loan agreement at today's government meeting.
According to him, the funds will serve to finance the deficit of the Armenian state budget for 2022. The loan will be granted for 20 years, with a grace period of 5 years.
"The uniqueness of this loan agreement is that its preparation is accompanied by extensive technical assistance activities," said the minister, adding that throughout the year, the French Development Agency has provided significant expert support to the Armenian government, especially in the field of financial management.
Tigran Khachatryan informed that, considering the deepening cooperation with Armenia, the French Development Agency has decided to establish a permanent representative office in Yerevan.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also noted that this is one of the signals for the development of relations with France.
