VIDEO: Blogger Exiled from Russia for Mocking Russian Soldier Temporarily in Yerevan
Blogger Nekoglay (real name: Nikolai Lebedev) has been expelled from Russia for violating migration regulations.
According to "Izvestia," his flight departed from Domodedovo Airport at 07:00 Moscow time. Notably, the TikToker, who is a citizen of Moldova, is being sent to Armenia due to the lack of direct flight connections between Russia and Moldova.
The blogger will return to his home country after spending nearly two weeks in a temporary detention center for migrants in Moscow.
Earlier, on November 11, he published a video apologizing for mocking the feats of Russian soldiers. In early November, the TikToker impersonated a soldier from the 138th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, who had thrown back two grenades thrown at him from a Ukrainian drone.
A significant portion of internet users perceived the video as ridicule towards the Russian military. Some left insulting comments about Nekoglay, while others suggested he go to the front lines. He claimed that he did not intend any harm.
On November 9, the Presnensky District Court of Moscow found the Moldovan citizen guilty under Article 18.8 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation and ordered his expulsion from the country. Additionally, the defendant was fined 5000 rubles. The Moscow City Court upheld the legality of this decision.
During a meeting on November 11, Nekoglay requested to be sent to Moldova as soon as possible.
